Volunteer Award Winners

Volunteer Awards

The Ontario Volunteer Service Awards are given out annually by the Ministry of Citizenship & Immigration to acknowledge the contributions of volunteers in the community. On Thursday evening, at a reception at Orillia's Hawk Ridge Golf & Country Club, four members of the Severn Bridge Agricultural Society were recognized for their work with our organization, receiving certificates and pins based on their years of service. Pictured from left to right are: Gerry Hatherley (10 years), Betty Moase (25 years), Michelle Robinson (5 years) and Trudy Killin (10 years). We appreciate all that they do to make our local fall fair a success.

The Severn Bridge Agricultural Society welcomes anyone who would be willing to help out at the annual fair or other events. We are a volunteer-based organization and there is always a need for more hands. Even without awards, volunteering is a rewarding experience, for we all know that we are doing something worthwhile and important for our community. If you would like to participate in any SBAS activities, please contact us and we will be happy to include you.
