Severn Bridge Agricultural Society

The Severn Bridge Agricultural Society (SBAS) is a non-profit, registered charitable organization made up of local volunteers. Our overall goal is to encourage an awareness and appreciation of agriculture and to promote improvements in the lives of people in our community. Our primary activity is to organize and present the annual Severn Bridge Fall Fair. The Fair has been taking place since 1873, a tradition that we hope to continue for many years to come. As well as providing good family entertainment, the Fair helps to educate visitors about our agricultural heritage, as well as increasing knowledge and appreciation of the rural lifestyle. During the rest of the year, the Fairgrounds provides a space for community events. In support of these ends, the SBAS undertakes various fundraising activities throughout the year.

The Severn Bridge Fairgrounds is located at 1153 Southwood Road. This has been the home of the Fair since 1903, when the property was acquired. The Fairgrounds features two large halls, a horse ring and several smaller structures, including a new washroom facility. The SBAS was originally known as the Morrison Agricultural Society, named after the former Morrison Township, but changed its name after amalgamation in the 1970s.

The Severn Bridge Agricultural Society is a member of the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS), the organization that represents and oversees all the province's agricultural societies and fairs. Severn Bridge is located in the OAAS's District 11.
