R.B. Dinner a Success

There was an excellent turn-out for the Society's annual Roast Beef Dinner on the evening of April 26. Guests enjoyed a great meal and many of them went home with something special from the Silent Auction. As a fundraising event for the SBAS, it was definitely a big success and will go a long way toward staging this year's Fall Fair. We appreciate the support of everyone who came out to the Hall on Wednesday night. The Society would also like to thank the many people who contributed to making it happen, including the businesses who donated items for the auction and the many volunteers who helped prepare and serve the meal.

Guests at the dinner had the opportunity to vote to choose the drawing that would appear on the cover of this year's Fair Book. We had numerous submissions from senior students at K.P. Manson Public School, five of which were selected for the final vote. We would like to congratulate Chelsea MacDonald for her winning entry. Everyone will get a chance to see it when the 2017 Fair Book is released in May.
